This is one of the region’s leading operators who owns many big international enterprises. The operator hosts the enterprises’ cloud services.
With the increasing demands for more AI related power computing servers, the operator needs to add more racks, some of which need higher power density as much as 50KW for future expansion.
To construct new buildings will take too long which won’t meet their clients’ leasing requirement. They need to increase around 1500 racks within 5-6 months, and its normal operation could not be interrupted when they add new racks.
After spending some time to discuss with the customer to know exactly what’s the possible solution with existing deployment plan, we worked out an efficient upgrade plan which could save 50% of their rack space. We ensured that the upgrade could be accomplished without interrupting existing service. Different DPS were implemented for different power size, up to 60KW per rack.
