This is one of the leading Telco operators in the world, who needs to install more racks for its data centers in 21 cities due to the increased demand for cloud servers and AI servers. But customer wants to reserve rated power of some cabinets for future expansion, whose service can be enabled when new clients are signed. To reserve more server rooms and cabinet for future expansion while not purchasing the whole power capacity equipment is important to save Capex.

Our DPS with build-in back-up time Lithium battery occupies much less space than centralized UPS plus Lead-Acid batteries solution, which need to purchase when they launch the service and will occupy more floor area. Several hundred new racks were installed, with different DPS deployed for current clients together with some cabinet. While some others can be installed at later phase.

DPS deployment can lower the floor load-bearing requirement, and the battery rooms for lead-acid batteries are no longer needed, which can be used to install more server racks to improve data centers with a much improved ROI.

Products deployed

High voltage DC power DPS, varies from 6kw to 10kw at current phase; 1+1 backup protection enabled. Other 20KW, 30KW model can be installed easily when new AI clients are signed up.

Increased the cabinets amounts by 35% with the same floor plan;

DPS with back up lithium battery is deployed in each rack, which can save more space over lead-acid batteries design typically adopted in many old data centers’ design plan.

While our distributed UPS solution distribute each DPS into each rack, this can save more valuable space, especially for old data centers in big cities where is hard to find new buildings to expand or reconstruct.
